Devised, dr.faustus-inspired musical workshop

directing statement
My intention in going to UC Berkeley for undergrad was to pursue a career in Applied Mathematics. Inspired by the activist theatre scene in the San Francisco Bay Area, I graduated, instead, with a B.A. in Theatre & Performance Studies, a minor in Spanish, and a hunger for more conservatory-style training. As I graduate from The Theatre School with my MFA in Acting (and represented by Paonessa Talent Agency in Chicago), I am inspired by the belief that theatre can wish new realities into existence. By making space for marginalized realities on historically white, heteronormative, text-centric stages, I believe art has the power to break generational curses. Some of my specific interests include QTPOC and Latinx narratives, the processing and healing of grief, devised work, interview-based solo performance, and movement-based storytelling
